AI Full Stack Engineer

6+ months contract to hire

3 days/week hybrid in Raleigh NC

Job Description

This role is focused on execution and delivery, using AI-assisted and agentic development tools to rapidly turn defined internal use cases into working solutions.

You’ll be part of one of several engineering teams focused on internal tooling and platform enablement. With team leads and business analysts in place, this role is primarily hands-on development, collaborating closely with partners while spending most of your time building, iterating, and shipping using AI-first development workflows.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain internal tools designed to increase productivity and operational efficiency across teams.
Execute on clearly defined technical requirements in partnership with engineering leadership and Business Analysts.
Use AI-assisted and agentic development tools (such as GitHub Copilot and Claude) to accelerate development and delivery.
Work extensively in GitHub, contributing to shared repositories, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows.
Apply AI-driven workflows to generate, refine, and maintain code, while still writing and debugging code manually when needed.
Collaborate with engineers across globally distributed teams contributing to common internal platforms.

Required Qualifications

2–5 years of professional software development experience.
Full-stack development experience, including:
A modern front-end framework (Angular preferred, but flexible)
A server-side language or framework (.NET/C# preferred, but flexible)
Hands-on experience with AI-assisted or agentic development tools, which may come from professional, personal, or experimental projects.
Experience using tools such as:
Claude Code
GitHub Copilot
Codex
Gemini or similar AI/agentic tools
Ability to discuss:
How you’ve used AI tools in real development workflows
Tradeoffs and limitations of different agentic tools
When AI-driven development is most effective versus traditional coding approaches

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with .NET and Angular
Experience building internal tools, platforms, or developer productivity solutions
Comfort working in hybrid and distributed engineering teams
Familiarity with GitHub-based DevOps and CI/CD practices

Contract Talent The salary range for this position is 55/hr to 62/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
