Position Overview

We are seeking a Software Asset Manager to design, implement, and operationalize a comprehensive Software Risk & Governance Framework aligned to internal Standards 031 and Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) guidance including B-13, with awareness of B-10 and E-21.

This role sits within the IT Asset Management team (9 members) and will own governance within ServiceNow SAMPro, driving ~95% software title and inventory coverage across ~30,000 software titles.

This is a governance and process-focused role (no configuration or coding required).

Key Responsibilities

Software Asset Governance & Framework Design
Build and operationalize Software Risk & Governance Framework aligned to Standards 031 & OSFI.
Define asset taxonomy, lifecycle attributes (EOL/EOS), ownership (business + technical).
Establish governance structures, reporting lines, and risk accountability.
Eliminate duplicate titles and rationalize ~30K software assets.
ServiceNow SAMPro & CMDB Oversight
Own governance within ServiceNow SAMPro.
Analyze SAMPro tables and relationships with CMDB.
Extract and validate data from:
CMDB discovery
Platform integrations (no development required)
Ensure completeness of asset attributes and lifecycle tracking.
Compliance, Risk & Audit Support

Must-Have Qualifications

2–5 years IT Asset Management experience
Strong hands-on ServiceNow SAMPro experience
Deep understanding of CMDB data structures and reporting
Software asset governance & lifecycle management (EOL/EOS)
Governance/Audit exposure (regulatory or internal)
Strong IT knowledge (infrastructure + end-user software)
Experience supporting audits with asset data
Strong communication & stakeholder coordination skills
Self-starter with independent execution ability
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Experience aligning SAM to OSFI (Standards 031 / B-13)

ITAM

SAMPro

Audit / Compliance certifications

Experience with GRC tools (Archer, OneTrust, ServiceNow GRC)
