Client is seeking a talented and motivated Senior UI Engineer to help build modern, cloud‑based web applications used by dealers worldwide. This role is heavily focused on front‑end design, performance, and delivering intuitive UI experiences for the Client Foresight platform.
Job Title: Senior UI Engineer / Sr Frontend Engineer
Location: Chicago, IL (Preferred) or Peoria, IL
Contract: 12 Months (Possible Extension)
Role Summary:
As a Senior Front-End Engineer, you will independently design and develop UI features for a cloud-based web application using modern frameworks and industry best practices. You’ll collaborate with architects, backend teams, product owners, and engineering managers to refine requirements, build reusable UI components, and drive technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, deploy, and maintain intuitive and performant UIs.
Build reusable UI components (dashboards, widgets, tables, etc.).
Contribute to architectural design, PR review, NFR implementation, and resolution of technical debt.
Lead technical spikes/POCs and convert requirements into technical stories.
Integrate and develop Grafana visualizations for data-heavy UI features.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Use modern CI/CD pipelines, BDD frameworks, and cloud-based deployment workflows.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
5+ years front-end UI experience
8–10 years total experience in web/UI development
Required Technical Skills:
Strong expertise in: TypeScript, React, Redux (5+ years)
Experience building large-scale, modern web applications
UI middleware/mocking tools: Redux-Saga, Mirage JS
API development/testing tools: Swagger, Postman
AWS cloud & automated CI/CD experience
BDD with Cucumber
Strong understanding of: Jest, Webpack, REST APIs, HTML5, CSS3
Experience leading POCs and designing high-order reusable UI components
Grafana integration experience
