Job Role: Senior Cloud Engineer – Azure Infrastructure

Location: Concord (Onsite/Hybrid)

Employment Type: Contract (W2)

⏳ Duration: 12 Months

Pay Rate: $70–$80/hr.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer with strong experience in Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to lead complex, enterprise-level cloud initiatives. This role involves infrastructure automation, cloud architecture design, and implementation of scalable AI/ML-driven cloud solutions.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Kubernetes, DevOps practices, and AI/ML cloud services, along with experience working in large enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Lead large-scale cloud infrastructure initiatives with enterprise-wide impact
Design, optimize, and document Azure/GCP cloud architecture
Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and GitHub (IaC)
Build and orchestrate cloud infrastructure across Azure & GCP environments
Develop standards and best practices for cloud engineering
Support AI/ML workloads and advanced cloud services
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product teams, and vendors
Diagnose and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues
Contribute to CI/CD, DevOps, and SRE practices
Work within globally distributed teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions

Required Qualifications

5+ years of Software Engineering experience
3+ years hands-on experience with Azure and/or GCP
2+ years experience with Terraform and GitHub
Proven experience building complex infrastructure programmatically (IaC)
Experience with at least three of the following:
Azure AI Foundry
Azure Machine Learning
Document Intelligence
Azure AI Search
Vertex AI
Document AI
Large Language Models (LLMs)

Preferred Qualifications

Cloud certifications (Azure and/or GCP)
Experience with Kubernetes (2–3 large-scale deployments)
Strong networking knowledge (DNS, IP, VNETs, Firewalls, Load Balancing)
Experience with RBAC, authentication, cloud security policies
Exposure to AI frameworks (LangChain, MCP, ADK, A2A, etc.)
Scripting experience (Python, Shell)
Experience with Agile, DevOps, CI/CD
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Strong automation-first mindset
Experience with AI/ML cloud services
Comfortable in fast-paced, matrix environments
Ability to communicate with both technical and business teams
