Job Specifications

Position: Data Engineer - Azure Databricks, Python, Power BI

Location: Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Canada Onsite

Duration: Long Term

Requirements:

Lead Developer + Architect with 10+ years of exp.
This person will be a SPOC for the whole Pod. Need to come with that level of maturity. This person is replacing a client FTE Sr. Development Manager.
Proficiency in ETL development and data warehousing concepts.
Strong programming skills in Python, Spark , Scala , SQL
Experience with Azure Databricks , Airflow , ADF
Banking domain experience is needed – Payments / Transaction systems / AML / core banking. All or some combination will be needed. Minimum 1.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Nice-to-Haves:

Experience with data visualization tools and reporting – Power BI
Knowledge of machine learning workflows and MLOps.
Understanding of data governance and compliance regulations
