Optomi, in partnership with a leading technology group within the steel manufacturing industry, is looking for a Finance Business Analyst!

Position Summary

The Finance Business Analyst will play a key role in supporting a centralized technology group by implementing Oracle ERP systems across multiple divisions. This role focuses heavily on finance and accounting processes, ensuring transaction flows, reporting, and system configurations align with business needs. The position will begin remotely but will require relocation to the Dallas/Fort Worth area upon conversion to full-time, transitioning to a hybrid schedule of 2–3 days onsite per week.

This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity. Candidates should be prepared for 70–80% monthly travel as ERP implementations require onsite support. This role offers exposure to the full lifecycle of ERP implementations, beginning with an upcoming go-live and continuing through future division rollouts later in the year.

What type of experience does the right candidate have:

3–4 years of Business Analyst experience
Strong finance or accounting background (degree or hands-on functional experience)
Understanding of financial transaction flows within ERP systems
Comfort with testing methodologies, including UAT and dry runs
Self-starter mentality with the ability to adapt in evolving environments
Ability to manage ambiguity and shifting priorities
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders
Willingness and ability to travel 70–80% as implementations require

Analyze financial transaction flows within Oracle ERP to identify gaps and improvement areas
Configure and support ERP system implementations across divisions
Document business requirements, develop SOPs, and create process flow diagrams
Support dry runs, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and go-live activities
Troubleshoot reporting issues and validate system configurations
Partner with finance and operations teams to ensure successful adoption
