Overview
We are seeking a mid-level Network Engineer / Network Administrator to support day‑to‑day network operations, infrastructure upgrades, routing and switching, and firewall administration. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands‑on networking experience who enjoys troubleshooting, improving stability, and supporting both project and operational work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Manage, configure, and maintain network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and VPN solutions.
Monitor network performance, optimize throughput, and resolve network issues across LAN/WAN environments.
Support network security initiatives including firewall rule updates, access control, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
Assist with infrastructure modernization projects (hardware refreshes, wireless upgrades, cloud connectivity, segmentation, etc.).
Perform routine maintenance, firmware upgrades, system backups, and documentation of network changes.
Collaborate with IT teams on incident response, troubleshooting escalations, and change management procedures.
Provide support for remote access technologies and ensure network reliability for distributed users.
Required Qualifications
3–6 years of hands‑on experience as a Network Engineer or Network Administrator.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, switching, and subnetting.
Experience with Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Juniper, or similar networking platforms.
Firewall experience (Cisco ASA/Firepower, Palo Alto, Fortinet, SonicWall, etc.).
Knowledge of wireless networking architecture and troubleshooting.
Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, LogicMonitor, etc.).
Ability to manage tickets, document changes, and operate within ITIL/enterprise environments.
Preferred Qualifications
CCNA or equivalent experience; CCNP a plus.
Experience with SD‑WAN solutions.
Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (Azure, AWS, or hybrid networks).
Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Python) is a plus but not required.
Soft Skills
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
Solid troubleshooting skills with a root‑cause mindset.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
