What you'll do
As the Sr. Physical Safety and Security Operations Manager, you lead global physical security and life-safety operations to ensure a safe and resilient workplace. You build and implement the global security operations center (GSOC), incident response protocols, and employee safety programs while driving global standard alignment. By partnering with Real Estate, IT, and Legal, you mitigate threats and maintain regulatory compliance.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Physical Safety & Security.
Responsibility
Build and lead a world class global security operations center, including incident monitoring, OSINT, alarm response, and escalation workflows
Manage guard force vendors including contracting, SLAs, staffing plans, post orders, and performance reviews
Own physical security technology lifecycle standards, integrations, upgrades, and roadmaps
Drive enterprise incident management for physical security and coordinate across Crisis Management partners
Develop workplace violence prevention, threat assessment, travel risk, and executive protection procedures
Establish global policies, standards, and playbooks aligned to regulatory frameworks
Support EHS programs and ensure OSHA and local compliance
Define KPIs and produce dashboards on incidents, guard performance, and technology uptime
Plan and manage budgets while forecasting vendor spend and capital projects
Partner with Legal and IT Security on investigations, evidence handling, and data governance
Support site openings and expansions by advising on physical security design requirements
Hire, coach, and develop team members while building succession plans
Participate in global on-call rotation and support after-hours incidents
Job Designation
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring
Basic
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum 12 years related experience in physical security and/or safety operations across multi‑site/global environments
3+ years of people management experience leading security/safety teams
Experience managing contract guard vendors, SLAs, and budgets
Experience administering enterprise access control and video management systems
Experience leading physical security incident response and post‑incident reviews
Experience with workplace violence prevention and threat assessment programs
Experience partnering with law enforcement agencies and industry security and safety networks
Experience with EHS/OSHA requirements and life‑safety codes; ability to partner with on compliance
Experience with physical security and audit frameworks (e.g., SOC 2 physical security controls, ISO/IEC 27001 domains as applicable)
Experience establishing metrics dashboards and operational KPIs
Experience implementing security and safety programs in a new site/facility location
Ability to work an on‑call rotation and respond to after‑hours incidents
Preferred
Master’s degree in a relevant field
Experience in a technology company
Professional certifications such as CPP, PSP, or CISSP
Experience building a GSOC and deploying security analytics
Membership in international security organizations such as OSAC or ASIS
Communication skills suited for executive stakeholder engagement
Experience managing remote team members

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $140,000.00 - $225,075.00 base salary
