We are looking for a Senior Cost Engineer to work within automotive industry.
Location: Hybrid working – Crewe
About the role: You will be responsible for providing, reviewing and presenting technical and financial data analysis to senior management, including risks and opportunities to maximise business performance.
Essential Skills: The ideal candidates will have an extensive Senior Cost Engineering background, with the following skills/ experience:
Experience of working within a cost engineering environment, preferably within the automotive industry.
Knowledge of financial accounting processes and principles, ability to analyse and interpret financial accounts.
Product Cost Management, estimating and process planning experience within a Production and engineering environment.
Knowledge of procurement processes, practical negotiation skills, cost estimating and engineering practices.

This role is primarily remote, but it will require some national and international travel to support deployment and project activities. Key Responsibilities: Design, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters, including controllers, schedulers, kubelets, deployments, and stateful sets. Utilize Kubernetes tools (kubectl, k9s) for resource navigation and ensure extensibility through Custom Resources, CNI, and CSI. Manage and troubleshoot IAM roles, policies, and permissions. Configure and troubleshoot switching, VLANs, IP addressing, and routing protocols. Analyze network traffic and logs using tools like tcpdump, dig, and netstat. Set up Linux networking interfaces, routes, and OOB interfaces (serial consoles). Deploy and manage Service Mesh solutions and understand Envoy Proxy functionality.
