Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead/Manager to join our dynamic team in the UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking, cloud modernization, and JAVA application development. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and the ability to drive technical projects to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of software engineers and technical professionals in the development and modernization of banking applications.
Oversee the design, development, and deployment of JAVA-based applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
Drive cloud modernization initiatives, including migration to cloud platforms and the implementation of cloud-native solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders, to define project requirements and deliverables.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and incorporate them into the team's work.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Technical Lead or Manager in the banking industry.
Strong expertise in JAVA application development and cloud modernization.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools.
