ALPHA10X is looking for a skilled Data Engineer. Reporting to our co-leads, the responsibilities include developing and maintaining our Azure-hosted data systems. You will create data workflows for our knowledge graph, develop and run data transformation services in Databricks and Azure Data Factory, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and define data needs for product and other functional teams. Expect to uphold agile software development best practices, focusing on unit testing, automation, and continuous integration via CI/CD pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
ETL Development: Design, develop, and implement robust, efficient, and scalable data pipelines that handles various data formats and shapes, as part of the creation of our knowledge graph.
Databases: Knowing the internal working of the most relevant SQL and NoSQL databases, their query languages, as well as distributed computing fundamentals.
Data Analysis: Being able to preprocess and visualize data to extract actionable insights, both internal and external.

What We Are Looking For
Mandatory minimum qualifications
Master’s degree in computer science.
2+ years of significative experience (internships excluded) in Data Engineering (not Data Science, nor Data Analysis).
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Hard Skills
Outstanding programming skills in (PySpark, SQL, Python) and problem solving.
Large-scale data processing knowledge (Terabytes).
Comfortable working with GIT.
Familiarity with Document databases (CosmosDB, MongoDB), Graph databases (Neo4J) and ELK.
Hands-on Azure Cloud services experience (Databricks, Azure Data Factory and Azure DevOps).
