Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer with proven experience delivering projects that involve direct customer interaction, such as datacentre migrations and the deployment of new or existing environments and solutions.
Responsibilities
Carry out daily support activities using the Azure Portal, automation scripts, and service management tools, whilst dedicating additional time to ongoing service improvement initiatives.
Take responsibility for technical customer engagements, including implementation projects and Proof of Concepts.
Support customers in deploying their workloads to Azure by providing expert guidance, helping them develop their own cloud adoption frameworks, and offering solutions to any challenges encountered.
Contribute to Servent’s cloud adoption strategies tailored to each customer.
Quickly adapt to rapidly evolving technologies, work independently, and respond to challenges in a constructive and professional manner.
Hold current Microsoft Azure certifications.
Requirements
The core responsibility of this role is to support enterprise customers in their transition to Azure — whether migrating from on-premises environments or implementing new solutions. To succeed, you should demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Certification as an Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or higher.
Strong skills in the design, implementation, and support of Azure environments.
Good understanding of ITSM practices and ITIL frameworks.
Experience working with either Hyper-V or VMware private cloud environments.
Practical experience with:
Azure Monitor
Azure Security Centre
Azure Migrate
Azure Site Recovery
Azure Database Migration Service
A minimum of 4 years' hands-on experience with Azure, ideally at an enterprise level.
Successful delivery of multiple projects either independently or as part of a team.
Experience with third-party assessment and migration tools.
Automation of Azure resource deployment using ARM/Bicep templates, Shell scripting, PowerShell, and Terraform.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines through Azure DevOps and GitHub.
Deep expertise in Azure networking services, including:
Network Security Groups
VPN Gateways
Load Balancers
Application Gateway
Traffic Manager
ExpressRoute
Azure DNS
Private Endpoints
A thorough understanding of Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365 identity management.
Administration experience across Microsoft Windows Server, SQL Server, Remote Desktop Services, IIS, Active Directory, and DNS.
Any experience with enterprise networking principles — such as IP addressing, firewalling, and public DNS — would be advantageous.
A strong infrastructure background, including ADFS, AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP, and Remote Desktop Services.
Demonstrable experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting complex systems and environments.
Experience delivering solutions across Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings, with exposure to cloud-first and hybrid architecture models.
