With global offices in Europe, US, and Asia, our client is expanding and seeks an experienced Group Financial Controller to join quickly during a time of change. You will be experienced in a similar role to add value quickly as an interim for 6 months.

The Group Financial Controller is a critical role within the Finance team and takes responsibility for financial reporting for the Group. You will be leading a team to prepare accurate and timely monthly and half-yearly reporting.

You will be organised and able to prioritise end-to-end management of the month-end and quarter-end reporting cycle, and group and statutory audits. There is also a focus on implementing process improvement across core areas, ensuring the reporting team are meeting its internal KPIs, and closely collaborating with Financial Operations, FP&A and Tax & Treasury.

Key duties
Ensuring all financial reporting for the Group is completed on time
Supporting the preparation of the monthly CFO board pack reports and periodic external reporting requirements.
Leading or supporting the short-term cashflow forecasting and cash management for the Group.
Leading preparation of the Group consolidation under IFRS across a number of entities
Ensuring all statutory accounting are met
Being a key contact for the Group on technical accounting queries
Ensuring that all accounting operations for the Group (accounts payable, accounts receivable and treasury) are supported efficiently and professionally.
Leading the intercompany elimination and reporting process for Group companies
Leading the day-to-day relationship with external auditors, ensuring an efficient audit process
Working closely with IT in development of new finance systems and processes
Identification and implementation of process improvements, efficiency initiatives, and financial controls
You will be a key person in developing and embedding best practice with their new ERP system. You will be responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements, efficiency initiatives and financial controls.

Skills, Experience & Behaviours:
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with post qualified experience;
Experience of production of consolidated group accounts under IFRS and management of end-to-end audit process;
Expert knowledge of business controls, data analytics & reporting;
Strong people manager who can evidence the development of staff;
Entrepreneurial and keen to work in a changing, growing business;
Build relationships and manage stakeholders across the business;
Championing a positive and collaborative culture;

High level of initiative and accountability for actions;
Hands-on and detail-oriented.
