£90,000 PA
London – 2 days per week in office

I am working with a global London market insurer where they are looking for a Reporting Accountant to join their team to grow and develop their existing regulatory reporting processes both for their syndicate and group. This is an excellent role which has a combination of financial and operational reporting, you will business partner with internal teams to improve processes, efficiency and finance data quality.

Responsibilities
Review existing syndicate reporting processes and identify areas of improvement.
Embed process efficiencies to streamline and automate reporting where possible.
Assist with the production of Syndicate reporting to Lloyd’s, including:
Regulatory reporting including QMB for their syndicate, Solvency II, USGAAP, UKGAAP.
Annual and underwriting year financial statements.
Produce analytics and commentary to support with queries on, or related to, syndicate reporting.
Ensure reports are produced and updated to the relevant timetables, allowing appropriate time for management review.
Develop diagnostics and continuously interact with underwriters and actuaries to develop an understanding of the figures.
Liaise with auditors and ensure that all the information required is produced and the audits are completed on time.

Personal Profile
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CAANZ, CPA, ICAI, ICAS).
Working knowledge of Lloyd’s accounting and reporting rules, UK GAAP, Solvency II.
Prior experience working for a specialty insurer.
Ability to identify and embed improvements to gain efficiencies across reporting.
