Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team in Glasgow. You will be responsible for building robust, scalable, and secure backend services and APIs. This is a hands-on development role requiring deep technical expertise across backend, API integration, and some exposure to frontend and database technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Develop secure, high-performance, and scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Design and build RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
Integrate systems and services using Apache Kafka.
Build batch and real-time data processing flows using Spring Integration and Spring Batch.
Develop and maintain unit, regression, and performance tests.
Collaborate in Agile teams and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Debug, optimize, and refactor existing code for quality and maintainability.
Communicate effectively with technical leads and cross-functional teams.
Technical Skills Required
Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture.
Proficiency in REST/GraphQL API development.
Experience with Apache Kafka for messaging and integration.
Frontend familiarity with ReactJS and/or AngularJS.
Solid knowledge of Oracle and Cassandra or other NoSQL databases.
Experience with Agile development, CI/CD pipelines, and code quality tools.
