Head of IT
About the Role
We’re looking for a Head of IT to lead and evolve our technology strategy, ensuring our systems and services support the firm’s growth, security, and efficiency. Reporting to the Operations Director, you’ll be responsible for all areas of IT operations including infrastructure, cybersecurity, service delivery, supplier management, and training. This role is key to driving innovation, maintaining compliance, and delivering a great user experience across the firm.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver and maintain an IT strategy aligned with the firm’s goals
Oversee day-to-day IT operations, infrastructure, and service delivery
Act as Data Security Officer and ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus
Manage IT projects that improve efficiency and support firm-wide initiatives
Lead on cybersecurity and work closely with Risk & Compliance to ensure safeguards are in place
Ensure strong supplier performance and value for money across all IT contracts
Own and regularly test the IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan
Provide high-quality user support, including through the IT Service Desk and mobility tools
Oversee training and promote user engagement with systems and policies
Lead, support, and develop the IT team to ensure strong collaboration and capability
Stay informed on technology trends and identify relevant improvements for the firm
About You
Experienced IT leader with a background in legal or professional services
Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
Client-focused and commercially aware, with a collaborative and practical mindset
Well-versed in data security and information governance
Confident managing suppliers, budgets, and service levels
Familiar with ITIL principles and committed to continuous improvement
Curious, adaptable, and open to new technologies and ways of working

About the Team
Our IT team comprises 13 members organized into Infrastructure & Applications, Service Desk, and IT Training and Business Engagement. We work collaboratively and interact daily to support the business and deliver its technology needs.
