Job Specifications
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in Fund Administration to support a transformation programme within a leading financial services organisation. This role is ideal for someone with deep domain knowledge in fund operations, investor onboarding, and complex fee and payment structures. You'll work closely with operational and technology teams to drive process improvement and operational efficiency across the fund lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Fund Administration Focus
Lead discovery sessions with business stakeholders to define requirements related to fund setup, investor onboarding, and share class configuration.
Document and map end-to-end workflows across fund lifecycle events, including NAV processes, capital flows, and distribution schedules.
Identify and implement process improvements to reduce onboarding timelines, mitigate risk, and enhance operational transparency.
Fees and Payments
Gather and define requirements for complex fee structures, including tiered fees, performance and management fees, and retrocessions.
Work with legal and finance teams to ensure fee structures are aligned with regulatory requirements and fund documentation.
Support the automation of fee calculation models, payment scheduling, and reconciliation processes.
Ensure clear audit trails and investor disclosures for all fee and payment workflows.
Technology & Transformation
Translate business needs into user stories and functional specifications for internal development teams or third-party platforms.
Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) for changes to systems supporting fund setup, fees, and investor services.
Contribute to technology selection and implementation for fund administration tools.
Identify opportunities for automation, data integration, and exception management.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
7+ years' experience in fund administration, fund accounting, or investor services, with a strong focus on fund and investor onboarding.
In-depth understanding of NAV cycles, share class structures, ISIN/SEDOL setup, and capital account tracking.
Demonstrable experience working on fee and payment-related business analysis projects.
Skilled in process mapping, requirements gathering, and stakeholder engagement.
Experience with platforms such as Multifonds, Investran, Allvue, or eFront.
Understanding of fund structures including UCITS, AIFs, and Limited Partnerships.
Exposure to working with external fund administrators, custodians, or ManCos.
Familiarity with regulatory regimes such as AML/KYC, FATCA, and CRS.
