Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Business Analyst/Business System Analyst (Mutual Funds/ Bill C64) with strong regulatory experience, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a keen eye for detail. You will contribute to a large-scale Bill 64 compliance initiative, ensuring the organization meets data and record retention requirements while aligning with enterprise policies and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities:

Support a multi-year Bill 64 compliance project focused on data retention and information lifecycle management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business processes, document requirements, and define system enhancements to meet compliance goals.
Work across multiple applications and systems to ensure adherence to regulations that limit data storage beyond defined timelines.
Take ownership of deliverables, from requirements gathering to documentation and validation, ensuring traceability and completeness.
Engage effectively with business and technology stakeholders to clarify needs, resolve conflicts, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
Develop and maintain high-quality business and technical documentation.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve compliance processes and support audit readiness.

Desired Skill Set:

7–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
Proven experience working in a Waterfall project environment.
Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks, particularly those related to data privacy and record retention (e.g., Bill 64).
Demonstrated ability to manage difficult stakeholders and navigate complex discussions with professionalism.
Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical perspectives.
Proven track record of taking ownership of tasks and delivering results independently.
