The Technical Support team based in Poole is an integral part of the Yunex Services team. They provide support for Field Services, Engineering, HSQE, Manufacturing, Sales, and Project Delivery. The department’s primary responsibility is to provide support capability covering all Yunex Traffic Products along with products of third-party manufacturers with the aim of providing practical support to all areas of the business and customers. The swift resolution of issues helps minimise wasted time on site whilst providing a source of education to the wider business.

Responsibilities:

Drive serviceability with the Product Development teams to assist in the development, testing and rollout of new Traffic and EVCI products and services.
Deliver technical support in a timely manner on Traffic and EVCI products to Field Services, Tendering/Sales, HSQE and Project Delivery engaging with the relevant experts in Engineering where necessary.
Maintain close working relationships with all internal customers.
Proactive working relationships with Yunex Traffic external customers.
Work with key stakeholders to drive Field Services efficiency and productivity improvements projects.
Grow our Remote Support capabilities with both the Service Operation Centre and field operatives.
Driving Process Improvements into installation techniques and maintenance contracts.
Working with the team to drive Technical Support projects to completion.
Occasional travel to all parts of the UK along with occasional overseas visits.
Seeking/identifying opportunities for new business and escalating where appropriate.
Contribute to the development of the business via support of local contracts and customer liaison.

Qualifications & Experience:

Extensive knowledge of Yunex Traffic Products, Systems and Networks.
Continuous personal knowledge and expertise development to ensure that as a member of the Technical Support team you are a trusted expert in your field.
Problem solving often complex scenarios and implementing change to prevent future occurrence.
The ability to communicate internally and externally at all levels, both written and verbal. Must be able to establish rapport quickly.
The preparation of reports at a complex level using Microsoft Office Tools.
Liaise with customer’s suppliers and internal departments and the presentation of information in a variety of formats to suit the needs of the audience.
Interpersonal skills to develop and maintain good working relationships at all levels, internally and externally. This includes the ability to influence the opinions of others and to manage negotiation in areas of conflict.
Knowledge of IET regulations and experience of electrical systems

This role is predominantly reactive in respect of the departmental workload. The jobholder is expected to work to their own initiative and plan their own workload to achieve the required results, balancing known and planned project work with regular and unpredictable support contact.

Required to analyse, develop and implement solutions to meet the requirements of the business. The ability to work to deadlines, monitor, and report on their own progress is essential as is the ability to work as part of a team.

The gathering and interpretation of information from disparate sources and of varying complexity, followed by communication via structured reporting is a key requirement.
