Job Title: Floor Manager & Production Assistant

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Potentially til June 2026

Part time: Saturdays only

**Location: Onsite in Rugby**

Our client are looking for a Floor Manager and a Production Assistant to work on Saturdays in a studio in Rugby, UK. These are part time freelance contracts, so you must be registered as a freelance contractor, or be happy to work via an umbrella company.

Role Overview - Floor Manager

As Floor Manager, you are the glue between production, visual merchandising, and the

on-screen team — ensuring each shoot runs on time, on spec, and without stress. You’ll

lead product set-up and strike, manage the studio floor, and liaise between technical and

presenting teams.

Working across two active studios, you’ll be flip-flopping between spaces as the day

progresses. While one studio films, the other is being reset — so efficiency, attention to

detail, and team communication are key.

Role Overview - Production Assistant

General Support: Assist Floor Managers, Directors, and crew with day-to-day tasks.

Studio Setup: Help prepare sets, move equipment, and make sure the space is ready for filming or recording.

Administrative Tasks: Handle paperwork, scheduling, distributing call sheets, and keeping track of production logistics.

Coordination: Communicate messages between departments, guide talent to the right place, and ensure everyone knows the day's plan.

Errands and Runs: Pick up supplies, transport equipment, or deliver materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the physical setup and strike of product sets across two studios

• Work from daily schedules and VM prep sheets to ensure correct styling and placement

• Liaise with Studio Manager and Vision Mixers to keep the day flowing

• Coordinate assistant(s) and ensure all props, accessories, and packaging are returned/stored

• Spot potential delays and escalate issues early to avoid knock-ons

• Maintain a safe, tidy and smooth-running studio floor

Requirements

• Background in live studio or multi-camera environments

• Strong sense of time management and efficiency

• Able to follow brand-led visual merchandising instructions with accuracy

• Calm under pressure; proactive problem-solver

• Previous experience as a Floor Manager, 1st AD, Stage Manager, or Production Assistant in fast-paced filming environments
