Intelligence & Technical Analyst

Foundational Role in a New Strategic Capability (Growth Pathway + Share Options)

Location: Epping, Essex / Hybrid

Salary: £40,000 + performance-linked share options

Company: King Safety & Security Group is an international protective services company delivering discreet, intelligence-led security solutions to private clients, corporations and global organisations. Headquartered in the UK with established operations in Canada and the United States, we provide close protection, travel risk support, advisory services and integrated security capabilities across multiple jurisdictions.

King Safety & Security Group is developing a new analytical and technical function to support our wider strategic growth. We are seeking a high-calibre Intelligence & Technical Analyst to become the foundational member of this capability.

This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious, technically confident analyst to take early responsibility, help design new processes from the ground up and grow alongside a developing function within a respected risk-management organisation.

Role Overview

This role combines digital research, intelligence analysis, workflow and process development, and technical problem-solving. You will work closely with senior leadership and contribute to both day-to-day analytical output and long-term capability-building.

It is well suited to someone who is detail-driven, logical, curious, and comfortable learning new digital tools quickly. High performers will have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility as the function evolves.

Key Responsibilities

Analytical Tasks

Conduct structured research and analysis across a variety of digital sources.
Identify relevant patterns, insights and risk indicators.
Produce clear, concise, and professional written assessments.

Technical & Process Development

Build and refine workflows and processes, including the use of automation tools.
Support the implementation and testing of new digital platforms and systems.
Maintain data quality, documentation and internal audit trails.

Operational Responsibilities

Assist with data intake, onboarding processes and quality checks.
Support the development of SOPs, reporting frameworks and operational standards.
Take increasing ownership for delivering consistent analytical output as the division scales.

Technical Competencies

You do not need to be a developer, but you should be comfortable with:

digital research and open-source information
learning new technical tools and platforms
automation or workflow tools (e.g., Make.com, Zapier, APIs – or willingness to learn)
dashboards, monitoring tools or alerting systems
handling both structured and unstructured data
improving processes and designing efficient workflows

A strong willingness to learn and problem-solve is more important than specific prior experience.

Qualifications & Experience (Flexible)

We welcome applicants from a range of academic and professional backgrounds. The following are advantageous but not essential:

Education (Optional):

Degrees in Cyber Security, Intelligence, Criminology, Information Security, Data, Digital Forensics, IR, or similar fields.
Equivalent practical experience is fully recognised.

Training/Certifications (Optional):

OSINT-related courses (SANS, Bellingcat, OSINT Combine, etc.)
CompTIA Security+, or similar foundational cyber training
Any exposure to digital investigation or intelligence environments

Experience (Optional):

Intelligence analysis, cyber, research, investigations, fraud analysis or data-focused roles
Workflow automation or monitoring tools
Work requiring strong analytical thinking and attention to detail

We value capability, mindset and potential over specific job titles.

What We Offer
£40,000 starting salary
Performance-linked salary reviews, as early as 6 months
Performance-linked share options with vesting, offering real long-term upside
A clearly defined opportunity to take on greater responsibility as the function grows
Direct collaboration with senior leadership and experienced practitioners
Hybrid working and a supportive, professional team environment
The chance to help shape processes, systems and future hires within a new strategic capability

Why This Role Stands Out

You are not joining an established department - you are helping to build one.

This role offers:

early ownership
genuine autonomy
involvement in long-term development
clear progression opportunities based on performance
meaningful influence over how a new function evolves

It is ideal for someone ambitious, technically curious, and looking to accelerate their career beyond traditional analyst pathways.
