About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Recruiter (Contract) to join the HR team for 3–6 months with the potential to extend. This role will own full-cycle recruiting for a variety of technical and product positions and act as an onsite extension of the talent team.
You will partner directly with the CIO, HR leadership, and hiring managers to drive high-quality technical hiring during one of the company’s fastest growth periods. The role requires a confident, senior recruiter who can understand technical requirements, ask the right questions, and source strong passive talent.
Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle recruiting for technical, product, and implementation roles
Partner closely with the CIO, HR Manager (Janet), and HR leader (Annie) to understand hiring needs and build pipelines
Conduct intake calls, create sourcing strategies, and provide market insights
Proactively source passive candidates (company has only one LinkedIn Recruiter seat)
Screen and evaluate candidates for technical aptitude and cultural alignment
Coordinate interviews with support from Allie (HR/Office Coordinator)
Maintain consistent reporting, updates, and communication with hiring teams
Support recruitment for additional roles as headcount needs evolve
Ensure a positive candidate experience from first touch to offer stage
Represent the talent function onsite Tues–Thurs to accelerate hiring and build strong stakeholder relationships
What You Bring
5+ years of technical recruiting experience (agency + corporate mix preferred)
Strong ability to understand and speak to technical stacks and engineering concepts
Comfortable partnering with senior leaders and influencing hiring decisions
Experience sourcing for tough-to-fill roles
Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-growing, PE-backed environment
Professional maturity — someone who can “own the desk,” be proactive, and drive process
Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
Experience with ATS tools (Paycor preferred but not required)
Technical Stack You Will Recruit For:
Java, Clojure, React, Python (platform runs entirely in AWS)
Backend ETL/Data Warehouse: AWS Step Functions, Glue, Athena, DynamoDB, RDS
Consumer Frontend: React running on Java services
Admin Frontend: Java/React on Java/Clojure services
Infrastructure
AWS (EC2, Fargate, Glue, Lambda, S3)
Terraform (infrastructure as code)
CI/CD pipelines: Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube
Collaboration tools: JIRA (ticketing), Confluence, Lucidchart
Work Environment
Onsite Tuesday–Thursday in Naperville (remote Monday & Friday)
