MacGregor Black is partnering with a fast-growing UK sports and athleisure brand to recruit a Head of Marketing. This is a permanent, hybrid role offering the chance to shape the brand’s global future.

The Head of Marketing will be responsible for shaping and executing the end-to-end marketing strategy for a UK sports and athleisure brand. This is a senior leadership role that combines brand building, performance marketing, content, partnerships, and community growth. You will lead a high-energy team, drive commercial impact, and strengthen the brand's position as one of the UK’s most exciting emerging sports brands.

This role is ideal for a marketing leader who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and who understands how to scale modern sports and athleisure brands through digital creativity, community influence, and data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

Own the full brand and marketing strategy for the UK business, setting the vision, tone, and creative direction.
Develop an annual marketing plan aligned to commercial goals, product launches, customer insights, and growth targets.
Evolve and maintain the brand identity to ensure consistency across all customer touchpoints.
Lead digital marketing strategy across paid social, PPC, SEO, CRM, email, and retention channels.
Drive customer acquisition, engagement, and conversion using data insights and performance metrics.
Oversee optimisation of online funnels to support e-commerce revenue growth.
Own the content strategy, ensuring high-quality, consistent storytelling across all platforms.
Lead social media growth through innovative campaigns, influencer partnerships, athlete collaborations, and creator-led content.
Develop and nurture the brand’s community from online audiences to real-world events and grassroots engagement.
Lead integrated multi-channel campaigns supporting key product drops, seasonal stories, and brand moments.
Ensure campaigns are measurable, creative, and culturally relevant within the wider sports and fitness landscape.
Manage relationships with creative agencies, production partners, and freelancers where required.
Identify and manage commercial and promotional partnerships with athletes, teams, creators, and brands.
Oversee negotiation, activation, and measurement of partnership performance.
Lead, coach, and develop a growing marketing team, championing creativity, pace, and accountability.
Collaborate closely with Product, E-Commerce, Sales, and Operations to ensure marketing alignment across the business.
Manage the marketing budget, reporting regularly on ROI and strategic progress.

What We're Looking For:

Demonstrable experience leading marketing within a sports, athleisure, lifestyle, fashion, or youth-led consumer brand.
Strong understanding of digital performance marketing and e-commerce growth.
A track record of building and scaling social media, communities, and influencer programmes.
Experience delivering integrated campaigns across multiple channels.
Strategic thinker with excellent creative judgement and the ability to execute at pace.
Confident leader with experience managing teams and driving cross-functional collaboration.
Commercially astute, data-driven, and comfortable managing budgets and reporting to senior stakeholders.
Passion for sport, fitness, performance culture, or active lifestyle brands is a significant advantage.
