Are you a newly qualified Clinical Photographer or do you have experience as a Clinical Photographer that you would like to develop? We welcome your application for a fixed term contract for 12 months (March 2026 - March 2027) to cover maternity leave.

The ABUHB Clinical Photography & Medical Illustration department have an exciting opportunity to become part of a busy team throughout the Trust.

We have a very successful TeleDermatology service that is in the process of being adopted on an ‘All Wales’ basis and have recently launched similar patient pathways for the ENT and Maxillofacial departments, which you would be part of. You will be working as a valued member of our team to provide comprehensive, standardised high quality clinical photography and video in the studio and on the wards, as well as covering clinics and taking images in theatre. You must have a friendly disposition, be able to work as part of a team and be able to manage and prioritise own workload.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

To work in a team of clinical photographers to produce clinical photographs / video to aid patient care, diagnosis, teaching, research, and publications. The postholder will provide a range of photographic knowledge and skills to support a variety of multidisciplinary teams, across a range of clinical specialties within the organisation. Working in a variety of clinical environments, the postholder will use a combination of standardised and non-standardised photographic techniques.
