Systems Engineer II (Audio Data Collection Systems)

Cambridge, UK (Bourn Quarter, CB23 6DW) – 5 Days Onsite

40 hours/week

11-Month Contract (Potential Extension)

We’re hiring a Systems Engineer II to support a leading global tech client, working at the forefront of AR/VR innovation. This role is based in a state-of-the-art audio lab with advanced acoustic environments.

What You’ll Be Doing

Set up and test prototype devices, audio equipment, and motion capture systems
Manage device networks, switches, and infrastructure
Support multimodal data collection in lab environments
Troubleshoot across hardware, software, and networking systems
Improve data collection tools and processes

What We’re Looking For

Experience in systems integration (hardware + software + networking)
Strong networking knowledge (protocols, configuration, switches)
Experience with audio equipment or digital audio data
Proficiency in Python/scripting and Linux
Comfortable working hands-on in a lab, independently
