The base
We moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018. We're close to our clients, in the heart of the UK's financial centre. And we have everything we need to work flexibly.
Key Responsibilities
Follow the change governance framework: Co-ordinate and help run the small change backlog for Reporting areas (specifically Client Reporting), including working with tech partners/vendors on their delivery roadmaps.
Through impact assessment / gap analysis, create business requirements that allow the relevant forums to approve and prioritise change
Where applicable provide analysis support on larger projects to ensure reporting requirements are documented and accepted
Collaborate on solution design
Work with vendors and tech partners through the clear articulation of requirements to estimate and deliver small change
Ensure correct implementation of requirements (testing / operational readiness control gate)
Document process flows and facilitate the creation of supporting procedures for new processes within Reporting Operations to ensure approved changes are delivered successfully from project into the reporting operations teams.
Work with key stakeholder network on upcoming change
As and when required, attend regular service check ins with key stakeholders in Client Group
Provide coaching and direction to others in the team to align with good change governance and project artefacts
What You'll Do
Reporting to the Head of Reporting Services, the Business Analyst role will have a Business Analysis focus with a flexible mindset and work with all Reporting teams and key stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of Reporting change and projects. The role will also be responsible for managing key stakeholder relationships across Client Group.
The role involves coordinating and managing small changes, onboarding and maintenance for the Reporting areas, including Fund Reporting, Client Reporting, Statutory Reporting and Reporting Data. This includes triaging change requests, producing feasibility summaries, documenting requirements for approved changes, and working with tech partners and vendors to deliver the changes. The role also involves acting as a proxy SME/Product Owner for reporting CTB projects. Collaboration on solution design and providing QA for new changes are also part of the responsibilities.
The role requires someone who is analytical in their thinking, understands the Client Reporting landscape, is solution focused and drives the best outcome for our clients, the business and the team. The role holder will align with innovative solutions, be able to identify problems and work to resolve them end-to-end. The role will hold accountability for appropriate reporting on change projects and providing updates to the necessary stakeholders.
The Knowledge, Experience And Qualifications You Need
Stakeholder management:

Technical product knowledge and able to discuss concepts with vendors and stakeholders
Operational background, preferably within client reporting
Experience of Microsoft applications.
Experience of managing projects

Experience of creating MI to report progress and capture business benefits.
Able to prioritise and manage activities for the benefit of the business

Discharge Of Responsibilities
The role holder shall ensure that all their responsibilities are performed to the highest levels of integrity, quality and transparency and in a manner most likely to promote the success of the Schroders Group, taking into account the interests of key stakeholders including clients, employees, regulators, suppliers and society as a whole.
In discharging their responsibilities, the individual shall establish appropriate oversight and control structures for all areas under their control where needed.
Reporting Obligations
In discharging their responsibilities, the role holder shall
Ensure that Head of Reporting Services is made aware of any issues which the Business Analyst deems material
Provide to the Head of Reporting Services an annual assessment of their own performance against objectives agreed with them
Committee Memberships
Where applicable, the role holder must fulfil his/her responsibilities for their Committee Memberships
