QA Test Automation Engineer – Company Overview
We are currently hiring a QA Test Automation Engineer (Senior) to strengthen our quality assurance practice within a fast-paced and highly collaborative Agile environment. The role is part of a multidisciplinary team involved in the continuous improvement of scalable, microservice-based platforms.
QA Test Automation Engineer – Your Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks to ensure high-quality delivery across backend and frontend systems
Define and execute functional, integration, and performance test cases using BDD methodology (Cucumber)
Perform thorough automated API testing using REST Assured, Postman, and/or SOAP UI
Automate UI testing using Selenium WebDriver
Contribute to performance testing strategies, using tools integrated within the development pipeline
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams to ensure testability and reliability of features
Monitor and improve CI/CD testing pipelines, ensuring fast and reliable feedback for developers
Document test plans, test cases, and results clearly and consistently
QA Test Automation Engineer – Required Skills and Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in automated testing roles, ideally in Agile/DevOps environments
Proven experience with:
Java (test framework development)
Cucumber for BDD testing
REST Assured, Postman, and/or SOAP UI for API testing
Selenium WebDriver for UI automation
JUnit or similar for unit and integration testing
Strong understanding of CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
Familiarity with microservice architectures and Docker containers
Knowledge of TypeScript and/or JavaScript is a strong plus
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
Fluent in English (written and spoken); French or Dutch is a plus
QA Test Automation Engineer – Nice to Have
Familiarity with performance testing tools and strategies
Experience in the insurance, finance, or other regulated industries
Previous involvement in DevOps or QAOps practices
