Interim Opportunity: Business Manager

ASA are working with a leading public sector organisation who are seeking an experienced Business Manager to support the delivery of corporate strategy and effective operational planning across a dynamic performance audit business group.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and maintain robust business management systems, including performance reporting, business planning, risk, and resourcing
Engage with senior leadership, including the Auditor General and Accounts Commission, to support the dynamic work programme
Represent PABV at key corporate forums such as PFRMG and IGMG
Ensure compliance with key policies, procedures, and corporate standards
Manage a small support team to deliver high-quality business support functions

Essential Skills & Experience:
Strong background in corporate strategy or business management at a senior level
Proven ability to implement and oversee performance and resourcing systems
Excellent data analysis and reporting capabilities
Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to engage stakeholders effectively
Experience in team leadership, mentoring, and supporting staff development
Desirable:
Degree or relevant professional qualifications

Additional information:
Location: Edinburgh or Glasgow (hybrid working model)
Contract: ASAP start – 31 December 2025 (with option to extend to 31 January 2026)
Hours: 35 hours/week (flexible working)
Basic Disclosure Scotland check required
Minimal office attendance (approx. 1–2 days/month)
